Coffee & cafés in Pattaya

By Tim Paemi · Updated 27 June 2026 · No sponsors, no paid placements

Pattaya's café scene has quietly become excellent — specialty roasters, brunch spots, photogenic design cafés and laptop-friendly hideouts for remote workers. Here's the lay of the land for caffeine and a good place to sit.

The short version

The coffee scene

Beyond the chains, Pattaya now has serious specialty coffee — local roasters, skilled baristas, proper pour-over and cold brew, plus loads of brunch and dessert cafés. A specialty cup runs about ฿60–120, a fraction of Western prices.

Where to find them & working remotely

Central Pattaya is handy for chains, but the most characterful specialty and design cafés cluster in Jomtien, Pratumnak and the quieter hillside and beachside areas, including scenic spots with sea or garden views. As a popular digital-nomad base, the city also has plenty of work-friendly cafés with strong wi-fi, air-con and power — some laptop-friendly all day.
