SIM cards & internet in Pattaya

By Tim Paemi · Updated 27 June 2026 · No sponsors, no paid placements

Staying connected in Pattaya is cheap and easy — fast mobile data, widespread 5G, and some of the best-value home fibre anywhere. Here's exactly how to get online, whether you're here for a week or a year.

The short version

Tourist SIM cards

The easy route. Grab a tourist SIM the moment you land at Suvarnabhumi, or at any 7-Eleven (on practically every corner), or in an official network shop in the malls. Packages come loaded with data and a little call credit, valid 8–30 days. Thailand's three networks are AIS (widely rated best coverage), True and dtac. Passport required for registration.

eSIM

If your phone supports eSIM, you can buy and activate one before you arrive — from AIS/True or international providers — and walk out of the airport already connected. The most convenient option for short trips.
